Hello Voyager Families,

And just like that, we are in December! 

As a friendly reminder, please consider the information below regarding head lice.

Head lice are small, crawling, wingless insects about the size of a sesame seed that lay tiny, teardrop-shaped eggs or nits in the hair. Head lice are not a source of infection or disease; they are simply a nuisance. Anyone can get head lice, and it is not related to personal hygiene or cleanliness in the home or school. 

Head lice do not jump, hop, or fly but are transmitted by direct, prolonged head-to-head contact. The symptoms of head lice include a tickling feeling of something moving in the hair, itching, or sores on the head/neck area caused by scratching.

Treatment includes over-the-counter products, using a lice comb, and/or contacting your health care provider for appropriate treatment options. Perform weekly head checks of your children to identify head lice early and prevent their spread. Long hair can be kept up in a braid or ponytail. Remind your students to maintain personal space and not share hats, scarves, helmets, combs, brushes, or hair clips.

Mrs. Page winter session registration now open!

Program Highlights:

• 🎨 8-week session

• 🗓️ Wednesdays, January 14 – March 11

(No class on February 18 during Mid-Winter Break)

• ⏰ Two time options:

Morning Session: 8:15 AM – 9:50 AM (students go directly to class after)

Afternoon Session: 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM

• 📍Location: Room 16

• 💵 Program Fee: $200 for 8 classes

The Grinch movie night

• Date: Tuesday, December 9th

• Doors open: 5:30 PM

• Movie starts: 6:00 PM

• The movie will be shown in two theaters, and seating is first come, first served — so be sure to arrive early to ensure your group can sit together!

Recess Runners was a hit! We have opened up more opportunities to volunteer! Volunteer Sign up
