January is School Board Recognition Month

As we begin to celebrate School Board Recognition Month this January, we want to take a moment to acknowledge the critical role our school board members play in shaping the future of our students and our school district.

Our elected school board officials are dedicated, passionate leaders who work tirelessly to ensure that every student has the opportunity to achieve academic excellence and personal growth in a safe and supportive learning environment. Their leadership directly impacts the lives of thousands of students, and we are deeply grateful for their unwavering commitment to our community.

The Responsibilities of Our School Board

Our school board is responsible for overseeing several key areas that drive the success of our schools, including:
